Christmas Eve
Eva woke up this morning, on her very first Christmas Eve, feeling so much better. Her temperature was back to normal, she was still teething and her cheeks were slightly red throughout the day, but her temperature was fine and she was happier in herself.
Mike had gone out to do all his Christmas shopping, but was back by 9.30 am after having done it all, and came in with a Maccys breakfast for me. Eva had only just woken at 9 am, and had been having her milk with me in bed, so Mike got her washed and dressed while I ate my breakfast, yummy!
Eva had a little bit of breakfast downstairs, but not much. She's been off her her food really the last few days, and has just wanted milk and cuddles. She had a good play with her toys while her Daddy was upstairs wrapping his presents, and then we had a lovely surprise visit from Tracy, who'd brought presents round for Eva and Jake from her and Kerry. She stayed for a chat and a coffee and it was really good to see her. Aunty Vikki, Chris and Ellie popped in then to swap presents and stayed briefly, then Eva went up for her sleep.
Eva only had about an hours sleep today, then came back down for some more playtime.
Again, she didn't really eat much dinner, just a few mouthfuls. She was cheery enough and hadn't got a temperature, just didn't want any food, just milk.
I gave Eva her bath tonight, and we had a lovely time with me singing Christmas songs and carols to her (Jingle Bells, When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney, Away in a Manger, Silent Night to name but a few) with her doing lots of splashing with her little legs and soaking the place.
With Father Christmas coming later, Eva was bathed, had her milk and extra cuddles, and was tucked up asleep in bed by 8pm.
Stu, Gav and my brother, Christopher all came round on the evening for drinks, and Eva didn't stir the whole time. She must've known that Santa was on his way.... Xxx
