What a nice way to spend the year

The Christmas celebrations continued today, this time joined by more of the family for our traditional Boxing Day get-together. There was lots of food - including this chocolate 'gingerbread' house (which never got touched in the end, other than Ophelia stealing off with some of the sweeties she had stuck on herself!); lots of drink; and lots of laughter. I always feel quite deflated on this night of the year. All the build up, all the excitement of the past few weeks and all the preparations, and now it is all over for another year. But what a year! And what a time we have had! Christmas with a house full of young children and surrounded by family is magical and we have created so many happy memories these past few days. Here's to Christmas!
