Snow is Falling.... all Around Us...

It isn't at all.

I can only remember two white Christmasses. One when Boy was 4 and Tooli was 1 and a bit. It started snowing on Christmas Eve and Santa's helper drove the miles to the nearest town to home and ran around until they found a shop with Sledges.

Christmas Morning and the kids woke and as soon as the sledges were uncovered it was out into the snow. We were fortunate enough to have a long front garden with a sledging for toddlers, perfect gradient. We spent a good couple of hours playing there.... and then decided to search further afield.

Up to Dean Park we headed and two kids, wrapped up so much that they could barely walk bounced along the path desperate to try steep slopes and even deeper snow.

The little Tooli's legs gave in first; but Boy shouted again, again, again. He decided to stop only when one super fast decent ended with him parked hard up against a tree, roaring with laughter and mum and dad crying with laughter.

We spoke to Boy today, as he lay back in his bed in the morning, in Miami Beach, laughing as he and S tried to tell the Cuban Housekeeping "thirty minutes"....("triento minutos" if you need to do it again). I'm so happy for them... they are in Miami, they had "Christmas Eve with a family last night, and were heading back for Brunch with them today.

While we were chatting. one of their other pals got in touch, Gee, who hails from Israel- so he isn't celebrating Christmas, but he does have a Holiday Armadillo.

Oh,I'm so pleased to see him so happy, and having such adventurers, but dearie me I do miss my Boy at Christmas.
