Christmas Morning
A better day today, thinking of all the happy times of family of when we were all kids and how our Christmas mornings have changed over the years.
Remembering also the Christmas mornings with our own three children growing up with the house full of laughter and the excitement when they saw their presents under the tree, their shaky little hands ripping the wrapping paper off quicker than it took me to wrap all those presents up the night before.
Now it's our children's turn to give their own children the same thrill and excitement and from the early phone calls we received from them all this morning they were awake and up and running from 5am, then the grandchildren in turn shouting down the phone "happy Christmas Nana & Grandad".
We will see them all tomorrow Boxing Day is our family day.
We both spent a lovely morning walking with Milo at Matilda Bay on the swan river, we love watching the large families gather under each tree, setting up their tables and hanging their decorations from branch to branch, their trips back and fore to the car bringing down their cool bags of Christmas food drinks and everything else but the kitchen sink.
After our walk along the river and one wet soggy Labrador pup we head off home and we have our own Christmas dinner on the veranda a nice warm day 30c day with a cool breeze, a nice quiet relaxing day no pressure.
Tomorrow will be very different, as we all get together at our daughters house this year, we will hear the excitement and watch the shaky little hands of our grandchildren while they open yet more presents, can't wait!!
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas Day
