Christmas Eve
It's Christmas Eve! It absolutely doesn't feel like it, though...
Man, today was long. I slept really badly last night so when I woke up at 7 this morning the last thing I wanted to do was get out of bed. But I did, and I even had the mental capabilities to send off our rental application as I was eating breakfast. I had work at 8:45, and Dad kindly gave me a lift which was great - there was no traffic so I was nice and early.
Because the weather was gorgeous today we got to open the cafe, so it was quite an interesting but challenging day. There's never really been a proper cafe at the Gaol so it's a bit of an experiment at the moment, but I think it's going to work. We got a fair few customers today considering it was the first day of business, and although our coffee needs a bit of tweaking we didn't get any complaints about anything! The most challenging thing was set up and pack down - we don't really have a proper procedure yet so it took much longer than it should have.
Still, it was a good day and now I get to enjoy the next two days before I head back to work! I've pretty much spent the evening on the sofa watching Princess Diaries (A+ Christmas Eve programming).
So the plan for today's photo was to get Tibbles in a nice bow and get a cute photo. Yeah, no. He was so grumpy when we got the bow around his neck, and then he started chasing the ends of the ribbon so I got it off him before he had an accident. The best I got was this one of him contemplating some pretty purple ribbon. I think he's going to use it to wrap all his presents later tonight...
