Substitution

I had every intention of putting some time in this afternoon on a treadmill at the Y, but when blue sky and some good clouds appeared after lunch, I bagged that for a photo stroll at Lake Padden.

It was lovely to see sun and shadows again, instead of dull gray! I had the good fortune to meet up with a neighbor I hadn't seen for a while, and we enjoyed catching up on each other's lives. Further on in the park I saw that someone had bedecked one of the many small fir trees with weatherproof Christmas ornaments -- unexpected and quite charming!

I'll be back at the Y before this year comes to an end, and more regularly in the new year, but for today, the sun led me astray, and I'm glad it did.
