Family with Hats Tradition

My mom...she would beZeke's paternal great grandmother--crocheted hats with toppers---stocking cap types for all of us...for hundreds including making them for donations at her church to keep those homeless and cold warmer . Or just for anyone wanting one. Years ago when Martin-gander-was a little tyke she offered him a wide selection to choose from , and he chose the bright neon pink hat with the bright neon green border. She was surprised and delighted. He still has this had today...in fact he was wearing it when he first met Goose and then her parents! I asked my mom to crochet one for a future child of Martin's back in the late 1990's . At first she balked...but then she did so Zeke wears his proudly today and the tradition is carried on at Christmas into another generation!!!
