It's beginning to look a lot...

Mom and dad arrived at lunchtime and quickly got stuck into helping out with making icing for gingerbread biscuits.

After lunch and a game of "this is a spoon", inspired by the inspirational Miranda.

Carl finished work at lunchtime so the holiday season can really kick in.

Tonight I took my folks, brother and sister-in-law and a friend to see Fascinating Aida. I was a little nervous about my mom's reaction but overall I think she enjoyed it.

And now sleep. I am exhausted and I believe there is approximately 10 days of merriment to be had.

Oh, and I almost forgot - we found out this clever little thing passed her first music exam today, Grade 1 singing. Cue enormous smiles all round.
