Fairground Attraction

As well as being a band from the 1980s who gave us the hit single 'Perfect' and launching the career of lead singer Eddi Reader, it is also tonight's blip. This horse from a children's fairground ride is a Christmas tree decoration that we have had for many, many years.

Although I like this decoration I have to admit that anything that makes me think of fairgrounds or carnivals also reminds me of the brilliant book, 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' by Ray Bradbury, which is not exactly the spirit of Christmas, but a great book nonetheless. If you haven't read it, you definitely should.
