winter solstice woods

Woke to sun, then hail, then snow and then sun for the rest of the day. Hubs and I took a walk through the Beech and Oak trees of Knockanacree Woods and were treated to a fantastic low winter sun at lunch time.
I usually ride with my friend Susan on her ponies through these woods, it took a lot longer today just on my two feet. But great to be able to blip away without risk of dropping my camera.
The tree and Christmas lights were finally completed this evening and our house is looking suitably festive now. I don't think I've ever been this late in putting Christmas up, but I'm loving it.
