Reindeer

First day of the Christmas holiday for Audrey and I. So who greeted me this morning? Teething, whinging and clingy Audrey, naturally.

I always know when she wakes crying that we're in for a tough day.

It went like this;
"Mummeeeee mummmeeeee" (I opened the door)
"Nanaaaa nannnna" (dummy)
(I gave her the dummy)
"Zsssha zsssha" (Charlie the teddy)
(I gave her the teddy)
And the demands have continued all day. Lots of urgent pointing and distress if her demands aren't met at once. Sigh.

On the plus side, she hasn't let go of me and I do enjoy being needed. Makes you feel like a proper Mum. Her little arm has been permanently hooked round my neck.

Administered the Calpol this morning and managed an hour with Angus in the Laundrette for breakfast. See pic of Audrey in her new dress in the window.

This afternoon we went to Laura and Nathan's for a Christmas get-together which was so lovely I didn't want to leave (Audrey on the other hand spent most of the time trying to escape).

On the way home, we stopped on the mud swamp that is now Chorlton Green and I showed Audrey the reindeer that were there for Chorlton's Winter Solstice. Magical!
