Beech

We went out walking, first along the river bank to the cathedral, then across the bridge to Birnam where we visited the Birnam Oak. It was nice to greet a creature that's approximately ten times my age and still looking in good shape, if somewhat gnarled. :-) We wandered around Dunkeld a little, then back along the north bank of the river and up to the Kings Seat where there's an Iron Age fort on the top of a hillock. I loved the shape of this beech tree with its ingrowing branches.

Another evening of eating and drinking and falling asleep in front of the TV.
