Playing with the Ornaments

This time of year we stand in front of the fireplace for quick warm-ups and that leads to messing with the things that end up on the mantle. Here you see an assortment of cars and trucks including the two tiny HO scale cars waiting for us to get the electric train set up under the tree. The snowman was made years ago by a nephew; the santa is the smallest from a matryoshka set; the wire Christmas tree has a string of battery operated lights; the little red guy on the right has a hat that is actually a spinning top and tips to a number below after you spin it; the poster is for January's Beaverton Symphony concert and has a photo of you know who in the horn section, and the Model T truck has a paper poppy from an American Legion gig in October. The bigger green truck gets featured every now and then in this blog. Buuuurrrrruuuummm, buuuurrruuuummm.
