Black ice, white grass
Ice on the grass at Dishman.
Tinsel is today's DDW-Mollymay challenge.
Mollymay keeps trying to put us in a Christmas box, and I keep trying to break out! Wait till we get to Boxing Day! (We don't have Boxing Day in America, Mollymay.)
The Pacific Northwest is notorious for a phenomenon known as black ice. A thin film of moisture on roadways freezes overnight and becomes treacherous. You can't see it, but when you skid you know you've been had. Today was that kind of day. Ice everywhere. I thought the frost on the grass looked like tinsel.
