Dead Birch

I rushed the blip today. I had to work and I wanted to get the blip done before going out to dinner with my wife. K is overnighting at a teenager birthday slumber party.

I had my eye on some Alaska Tall Bluebell flowers in our woods to macro as they have small pretty flowers. I set up my tripod low and sat in some briars (ouch). I was being savaged by mosquitoes, and the wind kept kicking up. I thought I had some nice ones, but they turned out just short of being sharp. One of my mistakes was leaving the vibration reduction on while on the tripod. It's counter productive. So between being rushed, trying to tolerate the wind, and VR, the macro attempt was a bust.

I have a couple of dead birch in my yard. Our house is only four years old and they must not have appreciated the tractors carving out our driveway nearby. Birch have a wide root system thats pretty sensitive.
