To Stop for a Sandwich

Here you see a shot of the Manx Electric Railway and which runs from Douglas to Ramsey along the East coast of the Island. This is Groudle Glen Halt.

You may be wondering if it is an electric railway, why this small diesel locomotive is in action.

I do not know the answer to that. However I could not resist stopping my car to take a photograph because I have not seen this sight before.

As I walked back towards the loco it became apparent that the operator was sitting inside the cab having a sandwich lunch.

I began to feel an uncontrollable rising sense of amusement as I wished the driver good day and a very happy Christmas.
