A funny little perch

This little hairy woodpecker gal was hanging-out (literally) waiting for her turn at the feeder. The bluejays really take over and bully anyone else that comes along, especially the one on the feeder. He didn't even allow the other bluejays access. However, this woodpecker decided to take her chances and managed to jump the line and take her turn along side a bully bluejay. The bluejay looked quite surprised to see the small yet brave woodpecker and actually seemed to be okay with the company. None of the other bluejays had been successful with this move. Each time one tried to join the bully, he'd peck at them and scare them off. So, while the odd couple ate at the feeder, 6 more bluejays waited in the surrounding limbs. You Go Miss Hairy! ;)
