Big Wheel

I felt bad today. When I picked up No 3 from her after school club she told me she had attended her P2 Christmas Party today - and it was great. Except I forgot to give her her party dress to take to school! Oops.

"But it was Ok mum. I wore my gym kit" (Bless)

Too much work is getting in the way of the stuff I enjoy more. She was very excited to get a present from Santa which she hadn't opened because she wanted to open with me - but when we picked up her school bag - it was gone!

The cleaners let us into the school to check the cloakroom and classroom, but it wasn't there. By this time she was sobbing. I REALLY hope it turns up tomorrow. She had even won at pass the parcel and the prize was missing too.

To cheer her up we took her to Winter Wonderland. She LOVED the big wheel (terrifying) - thankfully a more robust construction than previous years when it had open carriages, and looked Victorian! And she adored the ice skating (as did No 1!) - and was in heaven with the hot chocolate.

It was nice to see her smiling after her disappointment.

No 2 didn't come with us. She had 9 friends over to the house for a few hours instead. It's quite sad though. She seems to miss out on family time at the expense of being with her friends. I know this is typical teenager behaviour - but I miss her.
