Puppets

The kids and I made this puppet theatre out of an old curtain and some fabric and ribbon today, inspired by an idea in a magazine. They have been thinking up and performing shows with their stuffed animals this afternoon, and it has been delightful both to enjoy their creativity, and to sit on the couch sipping my coffee and reading my novel in between shows. I also have soy-braised chicken on the stove, filling the house with the delicious scent of ginger, cinnamon, and orange peel amidst savory chicken and soy sauce. A lovely, cozy Sunday.
