Dexter Watching the Snow

A major winter storm was predicted to hit the northeastern U.S. on this day, and snow it did! It began with tiny flurries around 8:30 in the morning and continued at various rates through the day. By nightfall, we had about 8 inches of new snow, topped with a tiny crusty layer of ice.

All of our errands had been run, all of our supplies had been laid in, we didn't have anywhere we needed to be, and so all we had to do on this day was stay inside and enjoy watching the snow.

Cats seem to know intuitively how to hang out and simply enjoy better than almost anybody. In this scene, Dexter sits by the deck door windows and watches the snow.
