Jinja..soft power and painting
this morning we had a lie in til 8am!
Watched Sally bungee jump then me Angela, Greg and Jane went off by truck to Soft Power Education. Soft Power is a charity organisation working with local communities in Uganda.
We visited teh office, the library, the medical centre, theatre, computer lab and vegetable gardens before heading off the a local school where we were to do our morning's work - painting a classroom.
Pictured is Angela with our tubs of paint, the classroom - before the undercoat we painted and some other classrooms, finally Angela celebrating with a Nile beer in our campsite bar next to the White Nile.
In the afternoon we took a boat ride to find the source - a sign and fairly normal waterside spot on an island before returning to camp to meet up with the rest of the group who had spent the day rafting..!
