Angel of the North

Looking from the entrance of St Josephs care home, formerly a convent, I took this yesterday after dropping of my favourite Mother in Law to see her lifetime friend who was a Nun and is now being cared for, despite having all of her marbles :-) Might have something to do with the fact that she is 89 years old!

Don't know what the church is that the spire belongs to but below there is Scotswood Road (made famous by the Geordie song 'Blaydon Races' and you can see the Angel of the North in the far distance on the hill.
