Arrived in Dubai at 7.30am and spent a while waiting for our luggage. Agents for the cruise company picked a coach full of us up and took us down to the port.

Spent the rest of the day idly finding our way around the ship and generally getting to know where everything is. We did the safety drill this afternoon in about 4 different languages, none of them Welsh!

Have been watching the news coverage of the chaos at UK airports due to the air traffic control problem, we were so lucky.

We were sailing out of Dubai this evening. MrD and I went on to the top deck to take photos and see Dubai at night, the ship sounded it's foghorn, I jumped out of my skin because I was standing near the funnel at the time! They then played "Time to say Goodby" sung by Andrea Boccelli and Sarah Brightman, the moon was a perfect crescent and orange against the navy coloured sky, a very moving farewell to Dubai, but we will return there at the end of this week!
