Braziers
Plenty of these in Grassington today.
Kath and I couldn't resist warming our hands, although it actually wasn't cold for December.
A day out to the Grassington Dickensian Festival.
Good start with bacon sandwiches at Buffers Café, Storiths, above Bolton Abbey.
( They make some of the best ever!)
Then on to Grassington.
Managed to park near by, and then just a short walk into the village.
As usual there were crowds of people, but it wasn't as busy as last year.
More room in the pubs and tea shops.
Although we enjoyed it, we didn't think that there was the same atmosphere as before.
Some of the characters were missing, and no Morris dancers, or hand bell ringers in the street.
By 3pm we decided to walk back to the car, as it started pouring down, and we had seen everything.
Back home to tea and mince pies.
Then a bit later beef chilli, followed by profiteroles with chocolate sauce, and a few bottles of red wine.
( Also watched Strictly, and X Factor!)
By 11pm we all decided we had had a good day, and it was time for bed!
( All feeling tired, although that may be partly due to the 3 empty bottles of wine.)
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend too.
