Well-grown lamb

I've been photographing sheep again. This evening the light was better, and this lamb was pretending to be a goat, standing atop the rocks on the high point in the Britten Reserve. I didn't take the telephoto lens, but didn't need it as the lamb wasn't worried about my approach and I wanted to include the surrounding rocks. Actually, I've found I can do almost as well with the little camera, as the sheep really don't like having the big lens pointed at them, while they tolerate the small camera very well.

The lambs are getting quite big now, but still stay fairly close to their mothers. Once the adult sheep moves off, the lambs are quick to follow, so targeting the lambs while the adults are busy feeding seems to work best.
