Been a long time

since I walked the streets of Ipswich after work.

A regional management Christmas lunch took me back to a town where I last worked regularly over twenty years ago. Afterwards I took the chance to visit one of the old locations, to see Jeanie, whom I have not seen this century! I wore the silly santa hat I'd been given at lunch, pulled down over my eyes and was not recognised until I removed it. Never one to mince her words, "I thought it was just some prat" she said .... nothing changed by the passing years ... Nor the warmth of her welcome and her hugs :-)

btw Ipswich seemed to have gone up in the world while I was away!
