Mugdock Reservoir

It was dark and drizzly as I drove into Glasgow to meet my friend Tom for a fishy lunch - Cullen skink and sea bass - at Wee Lochan on Crow Road, but the rain had cleared by the time I was coming home.

This is a sombre view of Mugdock Reservoir, one of three reservoirs serving the city of Glasgow with water from Loch Katrine via two 35-mile-long aqueducts. The paths surrounding the reservoirs are very popular with dog-walkers, joggers, etc.

This evening I'm off to the Strathendrick Choir Christmas Concert in Killearn Church, which is guaranteed to put the audience in a festive mood with its programme of seasonal music and the lure of a mince pie at the interval.

Have a good weekend, everyone!
