In need of colour

Now that the mist has gone and we are left with a dull, grey day instead, I almost wish it would come back as it did provide some pretty scenes. I am in need of some colour and everything is looking a little dreary at the moment - I found this shrub in the garden that looks like it is on fire, it has beautiful shades or orange, reds and pinks. So here it is, not sure what it is called.

The boys have all broken up for the Christmas holidays. Grocery shopping has been done, the fridge is full and we start that holiday game of how-quickly-can-we-empty-the-fridge-and-send-mum-back-to-the-supermarket.

Thomas' school carol service was lovely last night and Adam enjoyed being there and seeing his 'old' teachers again. Tonight we have yet another Christmas concert with the Surrey orchestra that Thomas is a member of. And poor Luke is still away having a stressful time with those uni interviews.
