I'm not good with phones!

For someone that has been employed in communications all of his working life, and telephone systems specifically for the last 30 years of it, I'm not good with phones at all.
In the past 3 or 4 years I've had an iPhone, just didn't work very well as a phone but I loved the apps! It had to go though as there was something wrong with it and people couldn't get hold of me because it just didn't ring.
A Samsung G3, which I got along very well with, had to go pretty much for the same reasons as the iPhone. I have to say they were both second hand.
I reverted back to my old Samsung SGH J700 but after being dropped a number of times it gave up the ghost so I then dug out an even older Samsung D900.
Today I tried to fix it so that I could use it with my Vulcan lanyard but my Bodgit and Scarper lash up didn't work, it fell in the supermarket carpark and kept shutting itself down. When it didn't shut down it got so hot that it was in real danger of bursting into flames in my pocket.

I've not gone many years back and dug out an old Nokia TESCO Mobile phone which works with my Vodafone SIM card. As it was a very cheap phone to purchase in the first place I expect this one will last the rest of my life!

It's a shame really, I loved my slidey up Samsung phones, particularly the SGH J700, lovely little phone.
