Very Unusual Sight!!

The French and Union Flags fluttering alongside each other, a sight practically unseen in the UK!
We have not been the best of friends in the past but there a lot of commercial ventures in the UK involving the French. This particular one has been a journey from the creation of DOWTY ROTOL by Sir George Dowty. They contributed to the history and heritage of the UK aviation industry in North Gloucestershire by manufacturing aircraft undercarriages and propellors. They still do but the company has progressed from Dowty, to Dowty Messier, to SAFRAN MESSIER BUGATTI DOWTY
The location of this, the UK Headquarters, is right opposite Meteor Business Park where the Jet Age Museum is.

And yes, it was a very dull, wet and windy day when I went to the Museum to host the Vulcan XM569 for an RAF visit this morning!
