Rising clouds

Early this afternoon, I glanced out of the window and saw a pillar of cloud over Castle Rock. It had dissipated slightly by the time I got outside (past the scaffolding) with my camera, and this was the first shot I took. The cloud was slightly less spectacular in the subsequent ones.

The day dawned dull and wet, so it was great to see the clouds clear this afternoon. The garden could still do with more rain, though, as it is very dry.
