Name badge-tastic and wild beasts

Jill got her official UTHSCSA name badge today and managed to open a US bank account!

I on the other hand decided to see how far I could walk with my camera. Turns out not very far! But not for the reason you'd think...

So I made it out our complex and onto a pavement. I started walking back away from the motorway and I was about 5 minutes into my walk when something caught my eye.

At first I thought it was a statue so I didn't stop but I did slow down a little. That is until the statue turned and clocked me. It's eyes firmly on me, pulsating with every breath, staring me out. I'm not sure if it was a wild dog, a wolf or a coyote but it was big and looked pretty mean.

Clearly I was trespassing on its turf!

Our full medical care hasn't kicked in yet and the last thing I need is a bill for body repairs after fighting some wild beast.

So I promised myself that once I have adequate health coverage I will take on the beast and find my way round the bend ... before trotting on home defeated.
