Cat again
After the excitement of yesterday I found today to be frustrating and slightly disappointing - I'm sure I wouldn't have minded so much if not for the awesomeness of the previous twenty-four hours!
This morning was just so silly. For ages I've been meaning to go into Centrelink to sort out my Youth Allowance application because I'm 22 and I'm going to be studying next year so I should be eligible. I heard I had to go in to sort it out and because our closest Centrelink is just up the road I decided not to bother with the terrible parking and walk up. It was sort of raining when I left but I took my umbrella and assumed it would be fine.
Yeah, no. It began to really rain when I was about halfway there, and I arrived damp and dripping only to be told that I couldn't apply in person, it had to be done online. So it was a bit of a wasted trip, and I still had to walk down to the bank to deposit a cheque so there was no escaping the rain. It was so bad I ended up calling Dad to pick me up from the bank...
I spent the rest of the morning applying for Youth Allowance online, and let me tell you it's actually worse than doing a tax return (my least favourite thing ever). I had an appointment this afternoon but apart from that I kind of chilled out the rest of the day until Henry picked me up to go to dinner at this really cool place near the Queen Victoria market. The food was awesome but sadly my stomach decided to be annoying and so Henry had to drive me home once we'd finished eating - not the best way to end the day!
Even though uni is well and truly over, it seems I can't escape cats on Wednesday. I actually wish I'd remembered to take my camera to the restaurant because there were a lot of good photo ops. I like this one because of the expression on Tabby's face.
