It was a beautiful day, mild and sunny and springlike. There are still leaves on the trees, still colouring for autumn, while beneath them spring bulbs are springing up.

Somehow I seemed to get caught up in giving the house its pre-Christmas blitz and didnt spend much time outside apart from an hour's leaf raking and mowing.
But I made it to the beach in time to see a spectacular sunset.

It's the girl's birthday today. My baby is 24! Doesn't seem possible.
She has been blipping if anyone wants to take a look.
