Ruins of Orroral Valley tracking station, Namadgi

The tracking station at Orroral Valley was opened in 1966 as part of NASA space program. It's main role was to monitor scientific and earth orbital satellites. It was closed in 1985 as it was no longer required. While the Australian Government wanted the buildings kept for future use, it fell victim to vandalism and was eventually demolished.
