View from the Terrace

Stitched Panorama

The 10th floor of the Blue Fin Building near to Tate Modern was the venue for the Landscape for all Seasons Seminar hosted by Amateur Photographer magazine.

This all day seminar was split into segments covering the artistic and practical side of Landscape Photography with the main afternoon session featuring two of my favourite landscape photographers Joe Cornish and David Ward.
Their aim was to show that the landscape can be photographed in all conditions and times of day and is certainly not restricted to the 'golden hours'. They talked us through many inspirational images with insight and humour and made for a great double act.

During the lunch break I popped out onto the roof terrace of the building from which there is a fabulous view of the city. This image is made from three hand held exposures stitched together in AutoPano 3

After the seminar I went to the National Theatre and was able to get a sneak preview of the Landscape Photographer of the Year Exhibition even though it does not officially open until tomorrow.

All in all an inspirational day.
