Bake-athon!

Our power has stayed on. Yippee! Though not everyone has; my poor mum amongst others still doesn't have electricity. Apparently there are 'pockets' of houses that will have to wait till tomorrow and it looks like she lives in one of those pockets.
Think we've really appreciated the joy of electricity today; the novelty will probably have worn off by tomorrow! Just as well though as it's our Christmas Fair tomorrow and a little bit of baking is required.....We had a couple of nervous moments as the power flickered while there were cakes in the oven but all finished, iced and safely in the car for the morning.
We did wake to some lovely snow; enough to make everything look pretty but not enough to cause too much disruption. As you can imagine Caley was happy to join me on a couple of jaunts out to enjoy some bracing fresh air.
Time for a seat now; busy day tomorrow!
