Lone Hawthorn

This is the pass on Mount Gabriel, my journey to work takes me through here and my attention is always drawn to this little hawthorn in the gap, a real survivor of the elements and the wild goats!
Once through the pass the view of Roaring Water Bay and all it's islands is quite breathtaking. We are busy stocking up for the busy Christmas period, well hopefully anyway! Lots of people from Cork and Dublin come to their second homes in Schull for the holiday and the town gets a boost from this that will carry us through to the summer.
