A great man. Such a very sad day but joyous at the same time, because it always seems like amiracle to me that such a person could have actually existed.

My first son was born in the Transvaal in SA and we witnessed first hand the horrors of appartheid.

As soon as we could, we escaped to Kenya, realizing that there was little we could do to make a change and to be honest, we didn't have much hope that the outcome would be anything but violent disaster.
