HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT

I noticed this little sparrow climbing – quickly scurrying, actually – up a tree in the back yard when I tried to find something, anything, for a blip today. The dim afternoon light was letting me know I’d better take a picture soon or the light would be gone, so this sparrow was my one opportunity. I hope you can find him - he blends in with the tree trunk so well. The weather wasn’t much different from yesterday when there were several birds constantly around here, so I can’t figure out why there was practically nothing around today. (I especially liked the curl of tree bark in the crook of the tree.)

I was impressed that my camera picked up this shot - the tree was about 45 ft. away and the bird was probably 25 ft. up the tree. I've been so disgusted with the camera lately, having a hard time with focusing. I know - it's the user, not the equipment!
