black fishnet holdups from marks & sparks, of course :-) and unlike these annoying affairs the only holes were the right kind of holes! and eventually they got noticed, which is nice.

odd day - did almost no work for two hours while wrangling over bits of contract, sorting out payslip trauma and emailing various official people, but then it was actually ok. partly we had more people than last monday (aka the monday from hell to end all mondays from hell), but also because the newsdesk was having a 'mare with the front half of the book being redrawn completely once, then partially redrawn about half an hour later.

but... i'm really sick and tired of not finishing a conversation - for once can't you come over and talk for ten minutes so we're actually done on whatever the subject is? because you never do get round to mailing or talking, and i'm keeping six conversations alive in my head and my sent mail that i think are important and want to finish and it's tiring! seriously, we can get a lot said in ten minutes - and frankly i think you owe me at least that...
