Out of season
Flowering hogweed! In December? I spotted this on a very short walk with Rosie this morning, sneaked in between completing a report, an afternoon meeting and an evening trying to get to grips with reflection and refraction with Ben (involving bits of maths I'd forgotten I ever knew).
There was a most beautiful crescent moon, hanging low in the dusk sky, with blazing Venus just above it, but I was travelling home with no camera, so missed the chance to photograph it. But at least I enjoyed the experience...and Venus is going to be shining at its brightest over the coming week so there may be another opportunity, although the waxing moon may mean it actually appears less bright.
