that it would snow today - and it did! Many hours, so everything is covered with a nice layer of powdery white. The streets are a mess, very slippery as it is freezing quite a bit also. While the husband was shoveling snow I looked around for something colorful. It seems like the buffet for the birds is not totally empty yet.

I thank all of you who showered my yesterdays blip with great comments, stars and hearts. It was very much appreciated! By the way, Virginia City had around 15000 inhabitants in 1860 and was the first town to exploit silver in the US then. I don't think that there are more than 2000 living now.
