apples and pears

Pierre's mum and dad arrived as I was getting the lunch on. Almost a Christmas dinner in fact - chicken with sage and onion stuffing, roasted carrots and potatoes, broccoli, gravy, mashed carrots and parsnips. So delicious. Made a pavlova for dessert too and it was finished off when dad, Sarah and Marie-Claire called in.

Still a lot of interest from Leo in Coquine - sniffing, licking, that sort of thing. No sealing of the deal as yet though!

Just after lunch, Blancheau arrived with our wood for the next couple of months. Two stairs to be exact. The whole lot of us, including Sarah and Marie-Claire - who are surprisingly strong! - helped carry the wood into the cave. Great to have all hands on deck and it certainly helped us to burn off some of the calories we'd consumed over lunch!

I'm not quite sure how we managed to eat them, but I made spelt pizzas for tea which we had with salad.

TOO MUCH FOOD!
