sunflower season..

..and big buckets of these golden blooms at today's farmers' market. Fresh picked from the Bickley Valley farm, the still tight heads will come to life over days, if not weeks.

Along with these lovelies the market was literally aglow with pots and bottles of honey, olive oil and tiny jars of saffron.

A golden day indeed.
