St Andrew's Day
Thank you for your kind comments for my moustachioed colleagues from yesterday.
We set off to Linlithgow Palace, courtesy of Historic Scotland who open up their properties for free for St Andrew's Day weekend. I have lived so close to Linlithgow for years and have never been before. The Palace was lovely and not too much of a ruin.
We raced off to the Wallace Monument but sadly arrived just a bit too late. We stopped for a hot chocolate and noticed they had a sense of humour; the soups were William's Legendary Lentil and Pure Dead Brilliant Broth...
On the way home we heard the radio news about the tragedy in Glasgow. My heart goes out to the friends and family of the dead and injured, to the emergency services and to the great people of Glasgow who came to help.
A few more photos from today here.
