Light and Shadow

Everyone has gone off in different directions to pursue age and gender appropriate activities--ice skating for the little kids, a trip to Sonoma for lunch and a little shopping for the women and girls, and a trip to the Russian River Brewery for the guys.

I elected to stay home and clear the decks for dinner which will be a makeshift affair involving left-overs, basil and lettuce picking in the garden and pesto making.

I decided to see what kind of photo I could get without interrupting my afternoon rest. Decided not to shoot the small shoe or the pasta I found in my bed. Somebody must have been watching the TV in our bedroom which we've never turned on!
