Martello Boathouse, Shingle Street

We have been staying here by the seaside of Shingle Street. The owners live in the Martello Tower, a few feet away and I'll bet this 'boathouse' has never seen a boat in it, for sure.... The view was very peaceful and we were just a few paces from the beach.

Several Martello towers are positioned along the coast here in Suffolk.

We came home via Snape and Dunwich. We were hoping for chips at Dunwich, however, there are now no chips at Dunwich tea rooms until March!
