Food for the birds

Day 28 DDW's November Challenge: Thankful.

I have plenty to be thankful for today, including, but not limited to, my lovely friends and neighbours; that, although the weather is cold and grey, I don't have to go out in it; that it is actually a couple of degrees warmer today, that, whatever the weather, there is always something to blip, often, like these berries, not far from my back door.

I'm sure the birds will be thankful for these berries too, which seem to have managed to grow just fine despite the rest of the plant looking on the verge of dying - it's leaves are usually a much darker green than this.
