The Jewel in the Crown

The Bossess came walking this morning. WOOF!!! Yes she did and it was early BEFORE 8.00 am BUT thankfully AFTER Grub so I was all fuelled up and good to go. The Boss suggested something different and so it was that we ended up on the hill behind the Rippon Vineyard with the early morning sun washing the scene and total silence, except for some dog gently whining because it was not moving at the time….Oh….That was me!. Opps.

This is of course Lake Wanaka and Ruby Island, the jewel in the crown…So to bark. This morning it looked grrreat and even The Bossess was sending pics of this from her iPhone to work associates to brighten their day. It was warming up too and The Boss had his sweat shirt off by the top of the hill. I kept all my curls on for the moment but got them a little wet later.
There is a big storm coming down the island with huge winds and rain predicted and at one time this afternoon as The Boss was going to get his head eyes examined there was a big ugly black cloud creeping in from the South but by evening (now) it has vanished and we are still ahead and sunny.
